Subject:Unusual Celadon Jar - Chinese or European?

This very unusual jar was sold to me as Chinese but after 15 years of dealing in Chinese ceramics I'm stumped!!

It looks like a Ming glaze but it must be European, surely??

Anyone any ideas?
