Please, can someone read this mark on a Chinese silver piece? Thank you for all the help you can give.

Hi,

The mark was a little worn but it should say 'Wen Yin Heng Chang' (from right top to right bottom and then left top to left bottom). 'Wen Yin' is usually used to describe silver quality of over 80% while 'Heng Chang', based on my understanding, should be the name of the issuance bank.

This piece should be from late Qing or early Republic period.

Best regards,
Bryan Wang
