Hi there,

The bottom mark says 'Da Qing Kang Xi Nian Zhi' which means 'Made in the reign of Kang Xi' (AD 1662 ~ 1722).

From the pictures, it seems like the jar is from this period.

Best regards,
Bryan Wang

Though this jar has a six-character mark of the Kangxi reign, it's my impression that such minyao jars of that period usually have unglazed mouth rims, as shown in the attached photo. I suppose there may be exceptions, so wonder if others have some expertise in this area.

Best regards,

Bill H.

Late Qing dynasty. Ginger jars had no glazed rims in the Qing dynasty, until the Guangxu reign.

Thank you,Bryan,Bill and Peter for your time and information.

After looking it up there is a big difference in age between Kangxi and Guangxu. As Bryan thinks it may be from the Kangxi period, could there have been exceptions with regard to the glazed rims ,as Bill suggested?

Thanks again to you all.
