Subject:Asian Brass Elephant
Posted By: Samantha King Sat, Jul 12, 2014 IP: 81.105.28.119 Hi, a family friend has had this ornament hidden away for some years after it was given to her after a friend of hers passed away. We have no idea what it is/how old it is or what the markings underneath mean? If anybody has any idea it would be much appreciated. Many thanks, |

Posted By: Guy Sun, Aug 10, 2014 The mark reads 'Seiya chu' (casted by Seiya), refering to the famous Tokyo workshop of Genruysai Seiya, late 19th century. |
