Subject:Jade dish

I had picked this up in China recently, together with the nephrite pieces. I do not consider this as antique and I do not think it is as old as it's mark suggests, but it does have some age.
It is very thin and very translucent. I was told that it may have been a brush dish for mixing colours or reducing the wetness of a brush during painting.
I think it is a nice collectible piece, really affordable and regardless of its quality, is definitely made of real jade.
As a novice, I know that collecting jade, especially antique and archaic jade, can become akin to walking up a slippery slope. Now starting from the foot of the hill again, I think that my more cautious, yet with a bit of challenge still, is more prudent. What do the forum experts think?
