Sorting out my early collection of junk to decide what to toss and what to bury, decided to post a few pieces which I am quite undecided on, to get experts' opinions whether they are worth keeping.

Please feel free to comment or critique, as I am starting all over again on my collecting journey and would like to learn as much as I can from the experts here. Thank you.

Is has been carved to look like a shang-Western Zhou bead but I feel it is likely a softer stone...Adam

It does not look like it has any age.. but that is the reason to keep it, and use it as a study piece.
Keep a collection of those to figure what old pieces do not look like.In 100 years they will be antiques.

Thanks both. It is not softer stone and it does have age. How old, I do not know, maybe not as old as Western Zhou. The photographs do not capture it well. Anyway, this goes into the "bury" box for the time being. Thanks again for your comments.
