Subject:need help identifying geisha painting
Posted By: whoosh Sun, Jul 27, 2014 IP: 74.132.250.52

I recently purchased a painting in a garage sale which looks to be pretty old and original. Unfortunately the signature was partially cut off for the matting. The letters appear to be english, but the only letters that are legible are an 'om' followed by what could be another letter, it is unclear to me. These letters are at the end of the name. It is a full body portrait in dark color, mostly warm, with lot's of contrasting patterns. It appears to be a combination of ink, water color, and maybe acrylic or oil (I could be wrong). Background and skin are negative space. It is roughly about 3-3.5' tall and 1' wide. It seems it may be a non-Asian artist, since the letters are english. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I won't be of much help with the painting I think but your link states returns the message that your photos are not publicly viewable
