Subject:Blue and white pair of vases
Posted By: tati Wed, Jul 30, 2014 IP: 201.19.72.143 I would like some help to classify this pair of vases, they are 35,5 cm high, to me they seem to be yongzheng or late Kangxi but i would like to hear other opinions. |

Posted By: Bill H Thu, Jul 31, 2014 My impression of the date points in the same direction as Lee's, but perhaps a bit later, during the Kangxi revival of the late 19th century. The birds strike me as similar in style to what is seen on Rose Medallion of that period, including this wide-eyed one from a bowl for the Persian or Indo-Persian market with a date of 1889. |
