Was purchased in NYC in 1950-60s from Antique dealer. Any information or opinion is appreciated.

This is the first time I've Quan Yin (Kannon in Japanese), the popular Chinese goddess of mercy, seated on a horse. Usually shown standing on lotus or dragon, seated on a lotus, or rarely, seated on a shi shi lion. Regards, Jim

Hi,

This is a Chinese San Cai (3 colors) Tang Dynasty (618-907 AD) lady on a horse.
Either musician or polo player depending on what she was holding in her hands.

Real or reproduction, it's another story.

We need many close up to be able to tell if it has some age or not. Plus info on the color of the clay used, views of the firing hole in the horse's belly etc...

I find suspicious the glaze used to fill the eyes (green) and the precision of the glaze fillings around the mouth for example.
