The signature is Kochoro fude (with brush). This signature was used by Hosai Baido (aka Kunimasa IV, Kochoro, Kunisada III, Toyokuni IV/V) from about 1890 - 1900, which pretty well dates the print. The actors depicted are Ichikawa ?? (left) and Nakamura Fukusuke (right). It looks like an odd size. The right part of the print may have been cut off.

Cheers,
Stan

There are 2 other sheets that go with it. Thanks for all your help. I have tried looking these up but I am not very good at it. Are these worth selling do you think or should I just keep them for decor? I thought about hanging them in a dark room. I have more of them and although not in the best of shape they are pretty neat. Brenda,

OK. You have a triptych. The condition of your print is very good. The color is excellent. If you display the prints, that will degrade. As a collector, I would advise against displaying them

I took a quick look at the artelino.com archive and Hosai Baido actor triptychs are in the $180 to $360 range. So, your triptych is worth a couple/few hundred dollars at auction.

You'll have to decide what you want to do. I'd recommend buying more, but I have a bias.

Cheers,
Stan
