Subject:Small vase - need more info and appraisal
Posted By: Alice Fri, Aug 15, 2014 IP: 67.250.42.155

Hi

I inherited two vases about 10-12 inches tall with asian paintings. There are markings on the bottom but not familiar as to what they are are. Please let me know if any one recognizes them, can tell me about the vases, and tell me what they are worth.

Thank you.

I believe I can safely say it isn't Qing dynasty Qianlong-period with dittos, but you still need to show more for anyone to tell you more.

I am not sure why the other photos did not post. Here they are.

The other two photos will be posted separately. Not sure why it's not letting me post all at once.

These are a type of median-quality transfer-decorated vases produced around the third quarter of the 20th century, including in what then were the Portuguese and British colonies of Macao and Hong Kong. Value is decorative only, in the tens of dollars apiece, with total worth ultimately depending on the eye of the beholding purchaser.

Best regards,

Bill H.
