This bottle is about 2 3/4" tall. The last pic doesn't show it very well, but the dull oblong part on the bottom is ground out. Also, the top has a long thing attached that dips into whatever the bottle is for. Any info is appreciated. Thanks

It sounds like a Chinese snuff bottle, but a picture sure would help.

I processed the photos you sent and posted them below. You have an inside painted glass Chinese snuff bottle. Given the the bottom was routed out with a high speed rotary tool, it is of recent manufacture. The painting quality is not very good.
