Subject:Jiajing emporer inaugural portrait reproduction?
Posted By: Brian Wed, Aug 27, 2014 IP: 166.137.209.26

Hello,

Are there any folks out there that have information regarding reproductions of inaugural portraits of Chinese emperors? The portrait is of the Jaijing emperor (Zhu Houcong) who reigned from 1521 - 1567. The original is in the National Palace Museum in Taiwan, but I cannot find any information regarding reproductions, prints, etc. The material seems to be canvas or perhaps stretched silk over canvas? Dimensions: 53 cm x 45 cm. Very intricate detail. It was purchased at an estate sale from an elderly man who frequented China.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks
