Subject:Chinese Soapstone Carving

Hi,
I try to find out more about this small soapstone carving. First of all, am I right that this is soapstone? It measures 6 x 10 cm and shows the Seven Sages of the Bamboo Grove. I think the quality is quite good, but I have no idea how old this could be? Any help is as always greatly appreciated!

No brush rest,no function, just decorative

Thank you Ernest, I just saw a lot of bush rests in a similar shape, thats why I thought it could be one. Has anyone an idea about the age?
