Hi can anyone help with the markings on the side and bottom of this teapot.

Thank you

Martin

The mark on the base is tipped 90 degrees to the right of proper reading position. When rotated back to where it makes sense, it appears to read down and across from the top right as "Made by Yang Jinyu" (杨金裕造 - Yang Jin-yu Zao). This is an auspicious appellation, since the given name "Jinyu", which already means "abundant gold", also is a homonym for "goldfish".

I queried the characters in a Google search and got no response. I'm fairly confident they're right as as I've shown them, since the given name repeats as the last stack on the left in your second picture. Perhaps someone else in the forum has heard of this maker.

Best regards,

Bill H.
