I cam across the delicate little doll and I believe it is Japanese. she is made out of paper and holding some kind of branch. Any ideas and thoughts of who she is or what kind of doll she is besides paper.. thank you for your time!

Hi, I have this doll with different robes. The hat is pressed paper, but the robes are brocade cloth. On the bottom of the black lacquer base is a TOYO label, shown below. I have been chasing Toyo for several years without success. It may be a distributor or supplier, possibly for military comisaries. Regards, Jim

I was in an antique store today and came across a somewhat similar Japanese doll in its original box with information on a printed insert, identifying it as a "Buyo Doll" in costume inspired by those worn by traditional kabuki dancers. The doll was manufactured by Nishi & Company circa the 1950's-60's, judging by the packaging.
The insert was in English but I believe the correct kanji for "buyo", meaning dance or dancing, is 舞踊.

Maybe this will be of help in tracking down the origins of your particular doll, as Nishi products are well known on eBay it seems.
