Subject:Re: help with the signing of the vase
Posted By: Bill H Wed, Sep 24, 2014 The vase appears to be Chinese, with a stamped mark of "Shop of Xing Long Sheng" (興隆生店 - Xing Long Sheng Dian). The mark doesn't involve a personal name but literally means "Shop that gives rise to flourishing prosperity". Judging by the somewhat brassy gilt, the vase probably was made in the early 20th century. |
