Subject:Chinese Yellow Porcelain Vase, Gu Form, ID PLEASE?
Posted By: Laura Y Thu, Sep 25, 2014 IP: 24.55.4.8

Hey there, I'm hoping to get an ID on the maker of this Chinese yellow porcelain Gu form vase, maybe get an idea of the age. The vase is hand decorated with an incised bird motif and has an impressed seal mark. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

This su-sancai stuff has been produced in the Tang, Ming, Qing and into modern times...
This piece looks new to me, and I havent seen that seal mark before

I think that it is rather Japanese. Mark on the top left means mountain. Could be Satsuma.
But i'm not sure. hope someone else knows more...
Edgar
