Subject:small stone teapot
Posted By: ma Thu, Oct 16, 2014 IP: 208.105.163.162 Would appreciate any thoughts on this miniature teapot. No manufacturer's mark that I see. The light green color reminds me of jade, but just do not know. Seemed a bit different from soapstone. |

Posted By: Ernest Wilhelm Fri, Oct 17, 2014 Even when this stone was found, it was considered to be Jade, very hard.. Then Mr. Bowen came and messed up everything...Now it is the hardest Serpentine known, and call Bowenite. |

Posted By: adam Sat, Oct 18, 2014 Mr Bowen had nothing to do with the re-classifying of "yu".... even without him westerners would always have considered this a type of serpentine... |
