Subject:ming ware?
Posted By: george w Wed, Oct 29, 2014 IP: 172.13.162.153 This plate got its 3 of the 6 words wrong on its mark. The calligraph does not look bad though. Is this authentic or fake? |

Posted By: Bill H Thu, Oct 30, 2014 This is authentic Japanese. Pictures don't help say for sure, but it could be a late Meiji period (1868-1912) or Taisho era (1912-26) product. Base has a faux mark of "Made during the Chenghua Reign of the Great Ming Dynasty". |

Posted By: Mat Thu, Oct 30, 2014 Hi, this is not Ming porcelain, but it also is not a fake. It is a nice Japanese Imari blue & white plate from the late 18th or early 19th century. |
