Posted By: rat Mon, Nov 10, 2014 if by "real" you mean "valuable" the answer is no. seems very late 20th century. using pinyin the mark (which is reversed in the photo) reads dongfang gongsi, or "eastern/ Far Eastern company", vague to the point of uselessness, especially if this firm operates/operated out of Hong Kong where it likely had a differently romanized name. Bill H. may recognize the company though. |

Posted By: Bill H Tue, Nov 11, 2014 Doesn't ring a bell in Cantonese but might be a Chinese department store somewhere else in Asia or even one of the new porcelain-decorating factories that I believe have begun production in Shenzhen, north of Hong Kong. Mark doesn't appear in the latest Davison book. |
