Can anyone tell me what the mark means?

Japanese mark, the bottom two characters refer to an Abe (surname/company name); the Japan experts will offer fuller information, but these don't seem very handcrafted to me.

The mark, rotated 90 degrees clockwise reads across the top, right to left 'Dai Nichi Hon', 'Great Japan' which would date it as likely Meiji era (1868 - 1912) It is listed in Gotheborg's Japanese marks under 'Sundry' as #1437 but is not idntified. Regards, Jim

I've tried to get n contact with Gotheborg, but they want me to become a member first... :-(
I've sent the same photos.
