Posted By: rat Sun, Nov 09, 2014 Japanese mark, the bottom two characters refer to an Abe (surname/company name); the Japan experts will offer fuller information, but these don't seem very handcrafted to me. |

Posted By: Jim Mon, Nov 10, 2014 The mark, rotated 90 degrees clockwise reads across the top, right to left 'Dai Nichi Hon', 'Great Japan' which would date it as likely Meiji era (1868 - 1912) It is listed in Gotheborg's Japanese marks under 'Sundry' as #1437 but is not idntified. Regards, Jim |
