Both works are not paintings but woodblock prints, published by the Uchida Art Company (octagonal publisher's seal 'Uchida Motohan'), presumely 1920s-30s.
The first print is tiled 'Edoki (no) Tango' (The Boys Festival during Edo times); the second is titled 'Heianki niwatori awase' (A cockfight in the Heian period). I could not decipher the artist's signatures. Could have been an artist employed by the publishing company.
BTW: the Uchida Art Company still exists (see link).
