Subject:Help identify bronze item
Posted By: Charles Sun, Dec 07, 2014 IP: 72.64.14.203 Hello, I would like some help identifying this bronze item. It measures eight inches at the longest dimension and appears to be missing a lid. It looks Japanese to me so I am asking in this forum. Thank you.

Posted By: rat Sun, Dec 07, 2014 not Japanese, more likely recent Chinese (or SEAsian?), meant as (or meant to resemble) a base or plinth for a Tibetan statue.
