Subject:Blue and white barrel shaped vase

Hello,
My Grandfather was gifted this vase while stationed in South Pacific Philippine islands around 1940. I have spent a lot of time searching the web to find info on the marking and vase style. Any help would be appreciated!

Looks like a nice Japanese vase from Okura Toh-en
(the mark in the upper right photo 大倉陶園), parent company of Noritake. Here is their home page: http://www.okuratouen.co.jp/

Not sure how old your vase is though.
