Subject:Is it Chinese Qing Dynasty or Japanese Meiji Period?

Please help, I've been trying to determine the origin of these vases and value if possible. This is what I know, they were brought back from China around 1902 or 1908 when family members fled due to the Boxer Rebellion. I've also been told that they are Japanese Meiji Period, and their value was unknown. Any help is appreciated, thank you. Also, there are no markings on the bottom of the vases or inside. I am trying to get more detailed pictures and will post when I do.

This looks like Japanese Satsuma-like ware with moriage / dragonware decoration.

I wasn't sure whether to reply to this as I'm no expert however there wouldn't be too many people replying if we all took that line I guess.... Anyway I have a similar but plainer pair which do have marks... They are Japanese moriage... This is a style where the paint on the piece is built up to give a kind of 3D effect.... Because of the mark I have dated my vases to Satsuma 1920s.. but my guess is yours would be a bit earlier.. Late Meiji perhaps... Around the date you mention...I have a limited knowledge of this kind of stuff but I do have a few pieces of Satsuma including an earlier highly detailed piece... And they are all signed..... Hope this might be a starting point anyway.......Sorry I can't tell you more!
