Subject:Unidentifiable Art
Posted By: pjs782 Tue, Jan 13, 2015 IP: 98.176.60.33

Can anyone assist with identifying this piece. It's in pretty poor condition but I would like to know if it's a piece worth keeping or selling.

I have more, high definition photos, if interested.

Thank you

It's a Japanese woodblock print.

The artist is Utagawa Sadatora, it's signed as Gofutei Sadatora.

The title is Nippori Hotei from the series Toto Shichi-fuku-juku

Can you blow up the signature on the left of the print about half way down?

Cheers,
Stan

Sure. Lita's post states a publishing date of 1825. How does that relate to what I have in terms of age?
