Subject:Japanese Satsuma, Koshida Porcelain Mark? Am I correct?
Posted By: Joe Mon, Jan 19, 2015 IP: 24.44.45.107

I recently purchased (2)two Japanese Satsuma Vases, they are approximately 4 1/2" tall. I believe they they both are stamped with the Japanese Satsuma porcelain mark of "Koshida"? Am I correct? Is it possible to tell the age of the vase from the pictures and mark? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Joe

The mark is shown upside down but it reads 'Koshida' indeed.
I have no real idea about the date, late Meiji or Taisho - or even post-WWII?

Guy.
