Subject:General question
Posted By: Tinker Tue, Feb 10, 2015 IP: 84.86.12.92

As a new person on this site but with someone with 25 years experience in collecting and dealing in ancient Chinese artefacts, I would like someone to explain to me what does the term " Tilemaker" mean?
I have never heard of it and I can assure you that the Chinese have never heard of it. Is it an American invention?

The Chinese have been making ceramic tiles of all kinds for about as long as anybody else on the planet, and I can attest to the fact that they have written characters and matching spoken language in all the major dialects for ceramic tiles and the people and places that make them. Are you a student of Chinese language?
