Greetings again! I would like to post several more items that we have owned and collected throughout the years. We taught the martial arts for over 40 years and we loved decorating the school with Asian artwork and pottery. We retired from teaching two years ago and we've been downsizing a little bit. We've always wanted to know the artist's signatures on some of our favorite items and now I have the time to do a little research. Some may be Japanese and some may be Chinese or other. It is my hope that, in order to continue my research, some of these signatures can be identified. Your knowledge and expertise is greatly appreciated!

Hi, I cannot help you with the makers of your prints, both are Japanese Shin Hanga. There are others here that surely can. However ,the pottery bowl is not Asian but comes from Morocco and is fairly new.

Your print done by " matsunaga oshi ". Sometime in 18th century.

I think that it is VERY unlikely that these prints are 18th c, maybe others can give their opinion...

I don't recognize the signature on the first print, but the rectangular seal on the left says something like "genuine made". It looks like an Uchida Publishing Co. print as is the second one. That one is by house artist Nisobura Ito and is of Kyomizu Temple in Kyoto.

Both of these are mid-20th century prints.
