I hope someone can give me information about the charakter mark on our old Chinese Teakettle.

Probably a Japanese imitation, bearing a Chinese Qing dynasty date mark Xangxi, 40th year (1700) and the name of a maker 'Kichinichi zo' ('made by Kichinichi', read in Japanese).
Similar iron items and kettles with the same inscriptions are sold in Japan and China at online auctions.
I ignore the period of production; Meiji era or later?
