I am trying to find out about this bronze I inherited a few years ago. I have been told that it is collectable, but actually it does not fit in with things I like to collect. I have found a roughly similar bronze on the internet with a description "A bronze okimono of a carpenter wearing waraji by Miyao Eisuke of Yokohama Meiji Period" but I guess mine is maybe a copy of an original by that artist. I have included photos, including Japanese characters on the carpenter's box on his belt, and some detail from a foot. The main photo has come out too red, the detail photos are much more indicative of the dark bronze and gold colours. It weighs about 800g with the stand. The figure is about 170mm high not including the base. Your comments would be very much appreciated.
