Subject:Re: Idenifying a Mark
Posted By: Bill H Mon, Mar 02, 2015 The mark in seal script says "Made by the Jinmen Porcelain Factory" (Standard characters 金門陶瓷廠製 - Jin-men Tao-ci Chang Zhi). This indeed is a contemporary mark and vase. Jinmen (also rendered as Kinmen and Quemoy) is an island near the coast of China controlled by Taiwan, and the kiln there is a government enterprise that was constructed in 1962. |
