The mark on your Japanese Meiji Period (1868-1912) vase reads down and across from the right as "Hichozan Shinpo Sei" (Made by Hichozan Shinpo), also rendered by some sources as "Hichozan Shimpo". The link to an earlier forum discussion has additional information on this studio. Other threads may be brought up by querying the name(s) via the forum search function.

Best regards,

Bill H.

URL Title :Hichozan
