Subject:Old porcelain basket crabs Vase
Posted By: Tom Wed, Mar 04, 2015 IP: 88.156.57.99

I wonder if anyone can help me.
I have a several items in my collection which are for me a riddle.
One of them is that reticulated crab trap vase.
I would appreciate any advice, I believe it's chinese not japanese, has a seal on the side.
Thanks in advance for any information or opinions.

I like it. Not able to read the seal mark but this piece brings to mind Miyagawa (Makuzu) Kozan, a well known Japanese Meiji era potter with a wide repertoire including off-beat pieces like this.
