The mark on your Japanese piece reads down as "Seizan" , among which transcriptions there are more than one, each with a different character and meaning. The decoration incorporates traditional plum, lotus and wisteria blooms but in a relaxed commercial manner meant probably for Western markets. I'd guess it dates to the Taisho era (1912-26) or later.

Best regards,

Bill H.
