Posted By: j. lewis Thu, Mar 26, 2015 It would help a lot if we could see a picture or two of the entire object, but if I had to guess the carving is very modern Chinese work from one of the HK poached ivory sweatshops and the mark is just a squiggle to enhance the "value."

Posted By: Stan Thu, Mar 26, 2015 I don't believe this object is made from ivory. I believe the markings are just scribbles. I have no Asian language skills and wait to see what those that do say.
