Subject:Daoguang Bowl with Dragons - Period Piece?
Posted By: Keith Wed, Apr 01, 2015 IP: 75.68.3.199

Hello,
This bowl is 9 1/4 inches in diameter and almost 4 inches in height. It is marked Daoguang period. Is this an authentic Daoguang period piece? Possible value?
Any assistance is greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
Keith

Your bowl, which appears to be one of those made of ultra-thin eggshell porcelain, is a modern product. They come in various sizes, motifs and marks, often packaged in custom padded boxes. Here's a link to a 2014 LiveAuctioneers result of $375 for one of the same size and similar decoration.

Best regards,

Bill H.

Thank you Bill. I don't think you posted the link. Also, more pictures are being uploaded.

My apologies. Here's the original and another that sold for over $300.
