Subject:Seeking historical background

Hi!

This is an antic Asian accessory sword (to show status and wealth probably carried by some royalty –not Han ethnicity) made of silver with precious stones (coral, turquois). Can anyone provide some historical background on this style of sword？Any guess as to which dynasty it might belong to？ Your help is much appreciated!
