The first is by Utamaru. The second is by Hiroshige.

Both artists have been reproduced thousands of times and the likelihood of finding originals is slim.

That said, the first one is badly faded (as so many framed ukiyoe get) so it may have some age. It will take a closer examination than I can get from these pictures. Someone may be able to help with the publisher/censor seals.

The first is by Utamaro. The second Kuroto Bay in Kazusa Province (Kazusa kuroto no urais) from Hiroshige's Thirty-Six Views of Mount Fuji (Fuji Sanju Rokkei). See link below.

I'll look closer when I get the time.

Cheers,
Stan

Don't know why that link doesn't work. Here's one at the Boston MFA:

Your print looks like it may be an original but it's hard to tell from the poor photo. Both prints are quite faded.

Cheers,
Stan

You can do the authentication yourself. Go to the link below (there is a lot of good information there) . Halfway down the page is a link on how to authenticate prints. That is all I am doing.

Cheers,
Stan

Both prints are originals. If you are interested to sell, I am interested to buy.

Cordially,
Stephane
