Subject:chinese famile verte rice bowl and cover

hello all

i have this chinese famille verte bowl and cover and would like to know a little about it?

it looks to be 18th century with the coloring ect but is probably a 20th century copy

any info would be great

The shape of this bowl and lid, as well as the style of its decoration, would seem to indicate it is Japanese. Seems to be a theme of "Lucky Gods". The connected dots in the background with the figure holding a lotus is a constellation in the sky, which would carry some sort of astrological significance. Afraid can't help with dating it.

Thank you Bill , i have to admit the lid caught me off guard as well , they normally sit inside the bowl .

Yes this is definitely Japanese.
