Subject:Trying to figure out significance/curiosity
Posted By: Tim Tue, Apr 14, 2015 IP: 50.101.250.242 My mother bought this object at a yard sale, the original owner having received it as a gift from a Japanese gentleman who brought it to dinner at her house to thank her for the dinner. Just trying to find out its significance, meaning, etc., if any, particularly the writing at the bottom that I presume is either a signature or a maker's mark.
