Posted By: Didier Tue, Apr 21, 2015 IP: 2.0.203.176

Hi
Hi
I will again submit a mark to your sagacity.
This mark is on a Yixing teapot, any information about it will be highly appreciated. Age, workshop ...?
With thanks in advance.
Best regards
Didier

I found another pot with the same mark described on a Chinese website as made of Shantou red clay and priced at 2,800.00 Chinese yuan (RMB), equal to US$451.81. Shantou is quite distant from Yixing if I remember correctly.

Best regards,

Bill H.

P.S., I couldn't find this mark (智成逢記 - Zhi cheng feng ji) in the Gerald Davison "New & Revised Handbook of Marks on Chinese Ceramics". It possibly can be translated as "Registered mark of Where Perfect Wisdom Happens".
