Subject:a japanese print/painting with samurai harakiri
Posted By: Mika Tue, May 05, 2015 IP: 86.81.160.184 Hi! I found this art, with a samurai pictured in it performing harakire. Can anyone read the Japanese? Or is it Chinese? Does anyone know who the artist is? Thanks! |

Posted By: Stan Wed, May 06, 2015 Your Japanese woodblock print is by Toyokuni I (1769 - 1825). It looks to be of the actor Bando Mitsugoro III smoking a pipe. |
