Please can you help identify the maker.( and value if possible)
I saw one at auction in 2012 estimate $10 000 to $12000 each)
does it sound real?

The stamp says Made by Genryusai Seiya in Imperial Japan.

Interesting piece but the maker's mark is illegible from this pic. Try to post a straight and sharper image with better resolution/contrast, eventually taken form different angels.

I dont think they will sell for 10 or 12K
I have one myself that I am currently selling on EBAY and found a few online going between 3 and 4K
