Hi, I tried to do some research on the figurines and think they are Blanc de Chine, but need help identifying the mark, who she represents and their age. each are approximately 12" tall. Thank You for looking at my post

I believe the Chinese characters may read from left to right, in Western style, as 同如龙 (Mandarin transcription, 'Tong Ru Long'), translatable as 'Like a Dragon'. The script beneath the characters apparently is an attempt to transcribe them phonetically in one of the Chinese dialects, but which one beats me. If you can read it, try a Google search. My efforts with the characters turned up no relevant info, including using 'Long" in the surname position.

Bill H,同如 is not "like" in English. What you are referring to is 如同. I cant see the 3rd word but even if it is 龙, the translation does not read "like a dragon". It is probably a name of a person or the maker.

I'll buy that the literal meaning may not apply, while confessing to being led astray by both characters possessing the meaning "alike", thus appearing to act together to intensify it.

I have a similar piece and I believe it is a statue of guan yin. The first 2 Chinese characters in the mark, from left to right, do read as "tong ru" but I am not able to see the 3rd character clearly. The English word seems to spell "Hall" (?).
I have seen a couple of such statues in an auction site calling them "late Qing" but I think your pieces were made quite recently.
