Need the date of the painting as well as a tranlation of the text on top of the painting.

The painting claims to be dated the equivalent of 1894 but this is not a painting by Cheng Zhang. Google Cheng Zhang Squirrels and Grapes Christies for a reference.

Thanks, nice picture. What I don't understand is the connection you see between it and your painting. What do you see that suggests they are painted by the same hand?

WHY? What exactly is the point with your statement: "I would suggest you check: Cheng Zhang "longevity"?
I must have missed something, because the calligraphy and signature of the artist of Sotheby Cheng Zhang's Longevity painting, IMHO, is completely different than who did the painting that was posted here by you.

If you are such an expert, why would you need anybody to translate it for you?

May be you should pay some experts to appraise and translate all of your painting for you from now on instead?
