Subject:Scrolls-Artist Signature Translations, Please?
Posted By: Jacqueline Fri, Jun 12, 2015 IP: 174.19.221.253

2 scrolls--help with either or both artist greatly appreciated. I hope its OK that I just zoomed/focused on signatures. I can take more pics, if that would help. Many thanks!

Yes please post photos of the paintings themselves, though what you posted so far suggests that they are recently painted despite the (false) attribution on one to a Ming painter.

Thanks for the added photos. The landscape is titled 溪山清晓, Streams and Mountains at Daybreak, and is signed by someone using the pen name 石山 Shishan. It's a recent picture in traditional style, sort of Ming-ish.

The goddess with the tigers is a recent picture too but falsely signed as being by the Ming painter Tang Yin. Its style is contemporary. The inscriptions don't go with the imagery though. The title is 華香月图,something like Picture of a Splendid Fragrant Moon, followed by 呈吉祥 which are wishes for good luck.
