It says "Da Qing Xian-feng Nian Zhi" but if you want to know whether it carries anything but decorative implications for whatever it's on, then you would do well to show the entire piece.

Here are images of a couple of Xianfeng iron red mark & period dishes. The first two show a 5.5-inch (14 CM) diameter saucer dish, and the last is a 7.6-inch (19.25 CM) diameter plate. The latter is illustrated as figure 21.3.1a in Tony Allen's new book, "Allen’s Antique Chinese Porcelain--The Detection of Fakes".

Best regards,

This seal inscription is to my experience and opinion made
in a modern factory by a worker, who was not experienced
in seal script.what never could have happened in the former
dynasties.
The use of an imperial seal script like this on an artifact would have cost the worker the loss of his head...

No, this is trying to be a Xianfeng reign mark but almost certainly has been added to a modern imitation which you have chosen not to share.

I will gladly share the photos. At the time i only had a few minutes and grabbed only a picture of the seal. Some of the paint has faded, from my understanding when the pigment has been glazed properly it does not fade, so more than likely it is a fake, i have never seen a qianlong seal like this before that is why i posted it.

Very nice looking piece, almost certainly genuine.

Christies had a circular piece sold for 10k dollars.

Get it appraised by one of the big 3 auction houses.
